Facilities and services in detail
Mobility
The courtyards, the Basilica of St. George, and St. Vitus Cathedral (via a marked ramp at the side entrance rather than the main steps) are fully step-free. The Old Royal Palace has one short ramp and is mostly step-free once inside. Golden Lane has cobblestones and the small ground-floor cottages have raised thresholds — most are still navigable in a wheelchair but the experience is bumpier. Daliborka Tower has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets are at the Information Centre in the Second Courtyard and at the exit of Golden Lane.
Sight
The audio guide includes detailed audio descriptions of the castle highlights in 11 languages. The castle does not regularly run formal touch tours, but accessible group tours can be arranged in advance via the Castle Information Service.
Hearing
Induction loops are installed at the Information Centre in the Second Courtyard. Audio-guide content is fully transcribed on the device screen for visitors who prefer to read along — handy if you don't want to wear the earpiece in echoing cathedral spaces.
Cognitive
The castle is large, open and can be overwhelming during peak hours. Visit at 09:00–10:30 in low season for the quietest, lowest-stimulation experience. The South Gardens and the Royal Garden are excellent decompression spaces when the courtyards feel busy.
